What is BATRIX?

A compliance and traceability platform for Digital Battery Passport creation, battery lifecycle tracking and regulatory management under EU Battery Regulation 2023/1542.

The Platform's Purpose

The European Union's Battery Regulation 2023/1542, which entered into force in 2023, introduces a mandatory Digital Battery Passport requirement for EV, LMT and industrial batteries above 2 kWh. This obligation is set to apply from 2026.

BATRIX is being developed to help manufacturers, importers, distributors and ecosystem stakeholders prepare for this regulation. The platform provides structured data collection covering Annex XIII data fields, QR-code based identity management and a blockchain-backed auditable record infrastructure.

We are currently in the pilot program phase. Early participating organisations have the opportunity to shape the compliance journey together and receive priority integration support.
